Brian spent his childhood and school years in York in the north of England. He was converted at the age of 18 much to the astonishment of everyone who knew him. He gained an MA degree in geography at Cambridge University. He enjoyed a long teaching career in both the maintained and independent sectors. During this time, he led geography, history and religious studies departments and in addition, taught football and cricket. Brian has also been a deputy head and latterly, for 14 years, was a headteacher.
Brian has preached and taken Bible studies in several churches, including serving on leadership teams. As well having a passion for the Scriptures, he has an interest in current affairs and sport and enjoys coastal and hill walks, preferably with a Labrador in tow. He is married with two sons, three grandsons and a granddaughter. Brian lives in Brighton on England’s south coast.
